The digital governance framework can be used in public, private and non-profit organisations, locally and internationally.  It is designed to provide a singular view of the organisation’s governance, risk and compliance (GRC) status at any one point in time, covering all the organisation’s key strategic and operational areas.  Given this ability to determine the organisation’s strengths, weaknesses and gaps within its GRC, the board’s ability to exercise oversight, including to make more informed and timeous decisions in this regard, is substantially improved.  The board and the executive will therefore be better positioned to drive business purpose, resilience and value-creation.

It meets regulatory and governance imperatives advocated by common law, the King IV™ Report [including the King V draft], CRISA, NOCLAR and the fiduciary responsibilities set out in Companies Act and other primary legislation.  It is based on governance best practice and is not limited by specific country laws and regulations.

The Value of the Digital Governance Framework

VISIBILITY: Provides a clear evidenced-based view of the organisation’s GRC position across all the key strategic and operational activities, and across multiple jurisdictions through user-friendly dashboards/scorecards.  It reduces the vulnerability for board members – especially non-executive directors – by providing improved oversight of all critical areas of the business, enabling board members to constructively challenge information which is being presented and helping them to know what questions to ask at board meetings, including other important business stakeholder meetings.

ACCOUNTABILITY: GRC scorecards can be linked to KPIs to drive performance.

MEASUREMENT AND TRACKING: Real-time data and insights can be used to measure and track GRC performance across the organisation, embed accountability and ensure continuous improvement.

PRIORITISATION: Identifies governance elements requiring attention enabling the prioritisation of resources.

AGNOSTIC: Cloud-based software application not restricted to country-specific laws and regulations.

EMBEDS CULTURAL CHANGE: Promotes awareness amongst management and employees of what needs to be done to drive improved performance across all business areas.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT: Delivers a secure means of storing and retrieving key strategic documents.

USER MANAGEMENT: Authorised users are linked to specific elements and tasks to assess performance. Verification of their assessment and the supporting evidence can be undertaken by internal and external assurance providers or consultants, as required.

ENABLES ACCESS TO CORPORATE GOVERNANCE KNOWLEDGE: Access an up-to-date and extensive repository of GRC-related research, articles, and videos to broaden your GRC knowledge.
